Karlovacko

This is one of 3 beers I sampled during a trip in and through Croatia in 2018. I’ve posted about the other two here as well.

To be perfectly honest I’m not sure of the style but I suspect it’s a Pils.

A standard beer in Croatia and in neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina, it’s apparently the biggest exporter of beer in Croatia. It’s now owned by Heineken.

It was warm weather when I was in Croatia with my family in 2018, and the 50cl draught Karlos went down very easily. Only 5.4% alcohol so just right for me. Nice colour, good head and very refreshing.

It’s readily available outside Croatia in bottles and cans. worth checking out if you haven’t already.
